55 gallon stock?

After I sell the Midevil in my 55 gallon. I plan to put my sajicas in it.
I have a stocking Idea and want to know what you guys think or if you have any suggestions.
I plan on using sand as substrate with some driftwood, plants, and lots of caves.
stock:
2 Sajica cichlids 2-3"
2 Firemouth cichlids 1-2"
8 Buenos Aires Tetras
3 swordtails

Sounds like a plan to me...should be a nice and active 55g.

Watch those tetras, the fm might attack them once they get bigger.

My Sajicas laid eggs earlier today in my 10 gallon. Ill be moving my sajicas to the 55 gallon in 2 - 4 weeks and Im wondering if I move both the fry and the parents to the 55, Will they still take care of the fry after they are moved? Should I just leave the fry in the 10 gallon without the parents? I really want to save as many as I can because the fry will help pay for more fish stuff.

Edit: This will be before all the other fish are added to the 55 gallon.

firemouths will probably dominate the tank... could get even worse if you have a male/female pair. Love these fish, great to watch but keep an eye on them if you decide to get them.

Someone is rehoming a Bull Snake on craigslist and right when I saw it my love for snakes reignited. So I might give the tank to the bull snake...
If I get it the snake I would buy a 30 gallon for the sajicas and maybe add 6 buenos aires tetras and 2 swordtails. Would this workout?
