I've always had trouble with feeding certain species of fish. Some, like dottybacks and wrasses, will eat whatever I throw in there (thank the fish gods). Others, like clownfish and banggai cardinalfish, won't eat anything that doesn't move. This was fine while I was in high school and near my aquariums, but now I'm in college, where dry foods are a requisite to keeping my fish (for breeding purposes hopefully during the summer). After a tank die off, I'm left with a pair of C. hemicyanea, which I plan on returning since they're super aggressive. In their place, I plan on putting the following in my 55:
pair of Stonogobiops nematodes (in QT right now)
pair of Pterapogon kaudernii
pair of either Pseudochromis elongatus or P. fridmani (whichever is less expensive).
possibly a pair of Amphiprion ocellaris since they're so easy to breed.
A dwarf angel? either C. eibli or C. loriculata, or even maybe C. flavicauda.

Either way, I'm foreseeing some feeding problems. I've never kept gobies, and feeding them today was sort of easy since I mixed Calanus with their pellets (Omega One marine micro pellets).

I still have no idea how to get Banggai's to eat. They've never eaten anything but frozen for me, and I need them eating pellets.

Dottybacks, bless them, as aggressive as they are, actually eat food I give them. I don't need to worry about their finickiness.

Clownfish, on the other hand, are too busy being scared little craps. How do I get them eating pellets?

I'm assuming the dwarf angel should be something I have to be very, very careful with due to their finickiness?

So I'm looking at a 6 fish (gobies, cardinals, and dottybacks), 7 fish (previous+dwarf angel), 8 fish (6 fish+clownfish) or 9 fish (all described). Would getting all 9 fish be too much for my 55 gallon? Please keep in mind that nutrient export would be sporadic (during my college breaks, summer) and whatever Caulerpa algae my parents export when they can.

I also need help figuring out how to feed the dang fish. What's the best way to get them eating good pellet foods, like NLS marine and Omega One Micro pellets (small for the small fish, medium for the bigger fish)?
