55 gallon stocking ideas

like the title says i have a recently empty 55 gallon aquarium and i have been wondering what to stock it with. i am absolutely dead set against cichlids of any type. i was thinking of doing a planted tank but idk what i would stock it with. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

How about a 3/4 fill planted tank with a dozen Congo tetras and 2 or 3 African butterfly fish.
