it has a small crack in the back which can be easily resealed from what i have heard in the description... It is at the LFS, should I go get it?

so should i do it? =) and how should i seal it if i buy?

You need to inspect the crack on the glass yourself before thinking it's worth it. Personally I wouldn't bother with it because $30 isn't worth 55 gallons of water on your floor.

I saw 55 gallon for $30 and thought great deal.....then I saw it has a crack...I wouldn't mess with it :(
I would however take it for free :)

I saw a 90G tank yesterday (cracked on one side), dumped beside McDonald!

Couldn't bother with it, don't want 90G of water on the floor

Don't buy it, its not worth the risk!!! That 55G is a ticking time bomb, if you decide to fill it with water!

ok, just got back from the LFS and bought a different 55 gallon for $75, used tank has a slate BG and was kinda dirty when i p[icked it up, i just filled it up and i am about to post some pics =)

and the crack was right in the middle of the front (or back) panel and it was from to to bottom so i just decided to leave it alone lol
