I have moved my gold severum, green terror, and albino longfin oscar all to my 120 gallon tank, and now its time to stock there 55 gallon growout and I wanna go mbuna for contrast. I am considering saulosi cichlids with some cleanup cory cats on the bottom. and lots of rockwork of course. Only downside is the tank is breeder style 36" by 18" by 24" so i doubt i can do as big of a colony. How many you guys reccommend? Can i fit 3 males 9 females or should i do 2 males and 6-8 females? Advice would be awesome. Thanks =)

... this will be an ongoing journal as I update the stock and get some photos goin!! :headbang2

saulosi should be fine in there, id go with the 2 male 6-8 female, loose the cory cats

id go 2m and 8f, not sure that cory's would be best they would be cheaper than syno's but syno's are more natual to the malawi's environment. if u did get cory's choose wisely as some don't like certain ph and temp for example i impulles bought some albino cory's for my discus and shortly after they were dead because they just couldn't handle the 30c that i was keeping them at

thanks guys. Yeah the cory's can go back and ill prolly get a bristlenose and bring my big pleco to the 120 gallon. I think im going to go 10f with 2 males because i save 40% when i get 12 fish seems kinda ridiculous to not! Reccomendations on rock work? I was either thinking river rocks piled left and right or texas holey with black sand and black background. Thanks again guys for input ill keep this post going as i get pics.. here is the growout version of the tank which will be changing.
