So i have a 55 gallon communitny tank. Is there a knife that can be fully grown and live happlie in a 55 gallon?

African Brown Knifefish gets to be about 8" in the aquarium from what i've read. i'll be getting 2 of these in a few weeks from my ichthyology professor

African Brown Knives (Xenomystus Nigri) would be your best option. They average 8" and are commonly available.

if you want one cheap, your best bet would be to go down to fort collins and purchase one from petsmart. or if you want one that is promised good health you can order one, but thats pretty expensive. i was thinking of getting a few back when i got all my WC fish from my buddy, but i had no room.
