right now i dont really have the money or the space for anything much bigger. so after my last run to petco i decided im going to get the 55g setup.
i have some danios in a 20 which i wanted to move to the 55. what would be a nice centerpiece fish in there (that wouldnt eat my danios!)?

thanks!

i have an oscar in my 55!!!

go out and buy a juvi oscar and feed it krill, pellets, and ocasionaly a live feeder/bugg

the oscar will do fine in a 55g as long as u dont put anything else in besides the danios

and if u are keeping the the 20g i advice getting 4 conficts 2 male 2 female and breed them then use their fry as food for the o thats wat i do

Could easily go with Angels. Elephant nose, Firemouth or Keyhole could be an option. If you get the angels you could fill in with some Gourami's or Rainbow fish.

Bear in mind this is MFK so many of the replies you get will probably advocate scrapping the danios and putting 1 really big fish in the 55gal. In my opinion that is not the way to go. If you want a oscar (or something bigger) then time to get saving for a 6x2x2 or bigger.

true. i was researching oscars and id like a bigger tank for one of those. i really want one eventually though. ive heard they're great fish.

i know that danios are great dither fish. and i was actually looking at an elephant nose, just wanted to see how many options i had. thanks

for a 55 i would go with a pair of firemouths, that way you could keep the danios, and the FM's have enough room:popcorn:
