Im thinking about restocking my 55.I want some thing different .i was thinking maybe a small community of a convict 2 firemouths and salvini. Maybe some oddballs or just a community tank. I dont know give me some ideas guys.

A planted community tank with bottom dwellers, mid, and top will be pretty nice. If you have bigger fish, you can use it to breed convicts as feeders.
 
get some senegals! And I love the idea of the firemouth, You could also find a smaller species of syndontis
 
I like those ideas guys. I do have a true gt and a pair of firemouth x convict hybrids that im rehoming or just grow out with my gt till they out grow the 55 and upgrade to a large tank. How birchirs can I put in there . Dont they grow to like 10"

Thats how my fm x cons look like. The male looks like a firemouth with convict colors and strips. The fry will come out mixed of both marble and normal cons till the dominant genes take over.
