i really like the java balls at petco. its a really good idea to grow java moss without having it get sucked up in the filters or have to attach it to something. I want to drop a few of these things in the pond to soak up waste until i can get some hyacith. my pond is only 18" deep so the balls can be seen from the top. The water is 55* now. Is it too cold or should i wait anothe month?
PS does anyong know if it would be safe to put java moss balls in with africans, loaches or plecos?
