my stock right now is 3 angels a pleco and a bala shark how many more angel fish could i put in the tank and not be overcrowded? or if i decided to get clown loaches to go in there how many should i get

The bala shark needs to go. Like the clown loaches, they need to be in schools, and in a bigger tank than a 55.

So if you get rid of the bala, and don't get anything else, you could add 2 more angels, and hope they get along.

+1, except I think you should add loaches as well, just get them small. They get big eventually, but they can live for about 50 years and grow slowly. I'd say a school of 5 or 6 is good.

i have a 125g fish tank that i plan on moving the bala into once it gets big enough and if it out grows the 125 ill give it to some1 on the forum haha

Good luck keeping that many in a tank and them not kill each other or hide all the time.

I have 7 adult angels in a 46 bowfront & 3 Large clowns together and the list goes on, Sounds nuts but theyve been together for years, plenty of jousting & egg laying but they are all healthy. I use a biowheel & canister filter plus regular water changes seem to be the key.

The more angelfish you have in a tank the more the aggresion is spread out. Not just one angelfish will be picked on.
