  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
55g should be fine as long as it is up against a wall

a 55 is like 2 fat guys in your livingroom. It'll be fine.

or one insanely large person. i know one well over the 500 pound mark.

water weighs a little over 8 pounds a gallon. so 55x8=440lbs. add the tank, gravel, extra gallon or two for a canister filter (if you use one) figure 600 pounds total at the very most

a fully loaded dresser will easily weigh that. so no worries.

8.34 lbs/gallon, so just under 460 lbs. I'd stretch and say 650-700 easily accounting for the substrate and stand, as well as the weight of the tank itself.

600 lb dressers? What are you keeping in there?

My 120Gal in in my bedroom which is on the second floor , it really depends on how old the building is and if the floor boards are stronger enough doesn't it ? But 99% of time it will be fine .
