55g stock finishing

Hey guys,

So I am just getting ready to start cycling a new 55g tank and was hoping you guys can help me finish it out. Here is what I have so far:

1 x Green Phantom Pleco
1 x Blue Acara (possibly Electric Blue which I know is a little smaller)

Possibly:

1 x Firemouth
1 x Blue Eyed Cichlid
Filler Fish?

The filler fish aren't necessary. But would the other two go in a 55g with the GPP and the BA/EBA?

Should add, other cichlids I was looking at with the Acara are Rainbow Cichlid and Gold Severum but open to other suggestions

Rainbow cichlid would be a good choice. They are not very aggressive, and lots of personality. Could do a 3-4 small group in there with the acara and it would probably be fine. I would not do the severum personally, they get a little bit large. Firemouth would not be a bad choice either. As with any cichlids, you'd have to keep an eye on how they interact, might get a particularly mean one.

If I stated them out together, do you think I could do a 1 firemouth, 1 blue Acara, and 1 rainbow cichlids? (Obviously keeping in mind that individual fish have individual personalities and be prepared to separate if needed).

I don't want anything breeding in this tank as it's in my living room. I already have enough breeding things lol.
