55g stocking ideas anyone?

Im getting bored with my current stock that I have in my 55g right now and I was wondering if anyone could give me any ideas with a new stock doesnt matter what just let me here what you think. However I will be keeping my crayfish, bicher, bgk and peacock eel. The bichir will be moved into my 150g once hes big enuf to not get eaten by my oscar

well I only have a emp 400 right now my other filter took a dump... im not planning on changing the stock up right away I have to land a job first and get my account up and going again before I do, and to get another filter... Im into whatever lol. I like aggressive fish, but Where I live doesnt help because I only have two petstores which is a petsmart and petsuppliesplus, both have cichlids just not a wide range of them lol. I want something big that can stay for life in it.

Something big that can stay in the 55 for life? Those two things don't really go together. But the 55 as a growout into the 150, a single peacock bass might not be bad. Idk how a clown knife would get along with your BGK but that could be another option. What are the dimensions of the 150?

What exactly do you plan on doing with your current stock that is in there? Does the entire tank's current stock consist of a crayfish, bichir, black ghost knife, and peacock eel? And the bichir will be moved to another tank and you plan to keep the crayfish, black ghost knife, and peacock eel?.... Well, I guess you could do something simple like a smaller cichlid such as a JD, or FM.

I personally only plan on having one extra tank besides my large tank, which will be a 55g most likely, and it will be reserved for 1-3 Gulper Catfish, but that won't work for you if you plan on actually keeping any of that stock in the 55g.

Also, limiting yourself to what the lfs has available will just bring you down the road to being bored with the stock you have, just like the current situation you're in. Don't settle for what the lfs has or you'll just repeat this cycle. Get what you want. It's all available online.

Yes by all means check aquabid and the like. If I relied on the chain stores that would suck they only have what is called bread and butter fish. Likely my lfs can get about anything in and specializrs in oddball fish and plecos.

The 150g is 4ftlong33"tall Android 2ft wide, but I alrdy have a oscar, sun cat, And a lima cat in there so I plan on the biche being the last one in. My current stock in my 55g has the cray,bicher,bgk,eel, 2convicts, and 2 JD's, I was wondering if a GT would be alright.

I've looked online at fish but I'm not about to pay double the price of what the fish costs tohave it shipped, if I was gunna do that id make it a s.w. bcuz my local stores don't sell s.w. fish etc.
