im concidering getting rid of all my fish and going 100% herp
it wont be for awhile and ive got a few more herp projects to do before hand
but i was wondering what lizard could go good in a 55
i was thinking a water dragon or a large group or crested geckos?
i am building an enclosure for my bearded so dont recomend beardeds because im getting one or two more as it is
think i can go with a a panther cham?
share your thoughts
but ive still got awhile until my fish grow outa my tank

If i had that, i would go with some mountain horned lizards, or thats what i think their called, cant remember the name

thats wat i did! but u got some good ideas but no panther chams, chams + glass tanks arent recomended but you could do chucks, agamids or some type of snake but if u like fish tanks with water musk turts are cool or you could get mudpuppies

Neither a Cham or a water dragon would work. chams dont fair well in glass cages. not enough ventalation and they see their reflection and it stresses them out.
and the water dragon getts to big. it would work for a while. maybe a year. then you would need something around 4' wide,2' deep, 6' tall. and most dragons dont do well in glass cages. they are nose rubbers..

you could do a uromastyx in there. they are fun to keep and they have great temperments. all of my uros were great. ive never run across a mean one.

ive also considered moving on from fish as well. i just down graded my tank from a 75 to a 30.

its just so hard to do lol
ive been into fish all my life
i would miss going to the fish store every week and buying feeders
same with if i got rid of my bearded

i think a group of female cresteds if the best idea so far
and i could have one male in a seperate tank for breeding

agree but dragons do well in glass, i had my beardies with no nose rub at all, and my awd that never rubs her nose and i had her in a 60 gallon, you just have to black the back and the 2 sides and onlyleave the front viewing purpuses.

I have a madagascar giant day gecko in my 55, he loves it! They're fun to watch too, very active. A tokay gecko might work too.
