I'm new around here. Been lurking for a few weeks now and because of all the wonderful information here I have a 55g tank set up and cycling with a few minnow and a larger pike. Everything is working well except the future population of the tank. I would love to have a community tank. I'd like to see lots (not overcrowded ofcourse) of fish. My problem is that I dont like little tiny fish. I've searched and read other suggestions given to other 55g owners. I've googled most of the fish listed but usually the results are a number or fish all different color that look similar. That makes me go a little crazy lol.
So now I want to ask the experts. Some suggestions on fish and amounts etc etc. I would like them to be playful if possible.
As far as equipment I'd like to run a Emperor 400 and a Fluval 305/405 in conjunction with. Is that overkill?
