I'v got my hands on another 55G and it's cycling right now. I got it setup the same way as my other, with pool-filter sand substrate, landscape rock, a Fluval 405 with 80% Bio media, and a Penguin 350B just as an added clarifier for the water.

I want an all-male set up, so here is what Im thinking:

Astatotilapia latifasciata Lake Kyoga 'Zebra

Haplochromis sp. 'Ruby

Mbipia cf. lutea Yala Swamp 'Spot Bar

Mbipia mbipi Mwanza Gulf 'Copper Black'

Paralabidochromis sp. 'Fire' Uganda

Paralabidochromis sp. 'Rock Kribensis' Uganda 'Yellow'

Pundamilia nyererei Anchor Island 'Red'

Pundamilia nyererei Ruti Island

Pundamilia pundamilia Hippo Point 'Blue Bar'

Pundamilia sp. 'Crimson Tide'

Pyxichromis orthostoma Lake Nawampassa

Xystichromis phytophagus Lake Kanyaboli 'Christmas Fulu'

Paralabidochromis Sp. Rock Kribensis Mwanza Gulf

Xystichromis sp. 'Kyoga flameback'

Haplochromis species #44 "thickskin"

Haplochromis sp. "red back scraper"

Lithochromis rufus - Haplochromis sp "red pseudonigricans"

Pundamilia nyerereiare - Python Island
Any thoughts? Suggestions? Remove or add?

Thanks!

I really don't know how this will work. All you can do is try it. You may have to pull fish that are too aggressive but then again you may not have any issues being all male. The Pundamillia would be the ones to keep an eye on. I am not sure sure how well they will all color as vics are very mood dependant. If it works it will be beautiful.

Some of the males on that list would look really bad without females around to "excite" them..... they would actually olook really dull and boring actually, the kyoga flameback is an example.

seems like an awful lot of fish for a 55 and that much aggression
