55g?

I plan to get a 55g tank in a few months , will it need it's own stand or will a sturdy table/ dresser be able to hold it? also will my 2nd floor will also be able to support this weight ( full tank + stand)

i have a 55g in my room on the 2nd floor of my house. i just put it close to the corner where the two suppoting wallls meet.

My advice is to purchase or build a proper aquarium stand. We're talking over 400lbs. of water alone!! You should have no problems on the second fl. "T"

I live on the 3rd floor and I have a 55, 75, 29 and a 10 in my dining room and living room. You should be fine as long as you keep everything in the corners.
