I am almost done stocking my 55 gal comunity tank. Fish as of now include

(6) Serpe Tetras (Hyphessobrycon serpae )
(3) Gold Pristella (Pristella maxillaris )
(2) Black Tetras (Most likely Gymnocorymbus sp.)
(1) Blue Ram (Microgeophagus ramirezi)
(1) Siamese Alge Eater

I recently got the oppertunity to get two blue gouromi(sp?) and one Powder Blue ones. I am planing on only adding a Koi or Veil Angel and maybe another Blue Ram. Is this okay? My only real concern is the Gouromi's and the Angel. Any input would be apreciated. BTW I am running a HOB power filter as of now.

Thanks,
Joe

Skip the blue gouramis with small tetras, if you want gouramis try dwarf flames instead much smaller. You have room for more pristellas and even a dozen glow-lights. Serpaes can be fin nipper. Keeping mainly 1-1 1/2" tetras you can 100 or more in a well filtered 55g easily.

I would do a pair of angels. I think angels are always more appealing in pairs. Also I would add another ram. That is another one of those fish that I like in pairs.

If you go for a pair of Angels be sure they are "A Pair" . If they aren`t compatible they`ll fight so it best to get 5 small ones and let them pair off. When you get a pair sell the other 3 to keep aggression down. Are Angelfish ok with Rams?

I had issues with gouramis & angels last time I put then together. I would skip the gouramis myself. I like them, but I always end up getting P155ed @ them.

Yeah I wouldn't do grouamis and angels.
