Hi

Can you tell me if a RCK is likly to eat a pictus anytime soon? If so, whats another rather common catfish that is slow growing that will go with a RCK.

You might want to avoid a rck is a 55. There are tons of synodontis's that will live in a 55 or even Rapheals.

Why? I am not dumb, I know they will eventually grow out of that tank, but I am setting this tank up nice with new fish etc. This catfish will be moved to a 8x2.5x2.5 when it needs to go.

you could get a juvie Blackfin Shark and once the Knife is in a bigger tank you start acclimating to Brack

Yes Royal Clown Knife.

I know that pictus will but I am also sure that the pictus will get eaten. I want to know what catfish would last a 55gal for about a year, but still be big enough not to be eaten by RCK when in the big tank. I was thinking tig?

rck dont have large mouths sothey wont eat them...unless the rck is huge and the catfish is tiny...all depends on the size of the catfish and the size of the rck you wanna get.

The RCK is about 20cm right now (mike w). My pictus is 12cm right now. I know it won't last long, this combo.
