I have a 55 gal with one delhezi, 3 opal gourami, and one pleco (soon to be gone)

How many pictus cats could I have in there? I heard they are more active if there are a couple of them, but I dont want to over crowd once they grow..

Maybe two? or three?

In a year or so I plan on getting a larger tank (150-200+ range)

I might also get another bichir sometime soon..

oh and the pictus wont bother the bichir will they? they shouldnt I dont think...

/ramble..

hey i've had a single pictus catifhs for over a year (55 gallon) and he has a nice cave for himself. doesn't bother the other fish (synodontis, angelfish, pleco, tetras) unless they try to enter his cave thingy.

IF your going to upgrade later on, then a pack of 3 will be gorgeous and fine as long as there are several cave formations (pvc pipe, driftwood, etc.) for each catfish to accommodate in.

Remember not to suffocate the bottom with decorations and leave a strip of open space for them to dash back and forth. imo

good luck:)
