im moving to CT in 2 months and my 55gal tank gets to come with me. currently its fw (selling the fish dirt cheap, pm for stock list local pickup). i have a rena xp3 and an aquaclear 70. i want to reset it as sw since the only fish store in the area im moving to is a sw only store and it is really good from what i saw when i visited the area. i want to setup the tank as a fowlr tank. i will be using the xp3 and want to know if i should get a protein skimmer. also, would it be easier to order liverock in bulk online or just buy it through the store?

Order the LR online for sure. usually 1-1.5 lbs per gallon. as for the filters... i always say get a good skimmer, nothing else can do as good a job.
