OK so heres the deal im taking my friends 125g for almost nothng this next thurs so about 2 weeks and i am taking ideas for my old 55g. I would like cichlids but want to have a community and not just 2 fish and i am somewhat interested in african cichlids but am not really knowledgable on them. I was also considering koi any ideas are welcome.

i was considering a gt and maybe a dempsey or jag since i was advised my 125 is already overstocked when i get it
what about a dempsey and a firemouth would that work out i know the can be housed together but if they were to be full grown in a 55
JD would probably kill the firemouth. Really, I only have a solo JD in a 55 gallon, it barely enough room for them.
or my friends red belly piranhas jus had babies i have zero knowledge on piranhas but could u house lets say 3-6 in a 55 gallon?
