56 gallon tank stocking

Hey guys, I have a 56-gallon tank and want to keep something aggressive and exciting. I was thinking a red devil, but I understand they get too big for a 56. If you guys have any suggestions on aggressive wet pets, I would appreciate it.

Green terror... very similar (accept green) idea size and fabulous wet pet cichlid for your set up size for whole of life.

African cichlids, bunch of haps and peacocks get all males you probably will have to get rid of some here and there as they age due to aggression but should be able to make a nice group over time

That are the dimensions of the tank? Is this a standard 48x12 (55g)?

Africans are hard work and not wet pets at all! To many water changes, fish deaths due to aggression and require hard water.... Not a wet pet set up at all I would say lol

My bad I’ve never heard of the setup “wet pet” before I thought he was referring to all fish by that, guess I’ll have to look into that type of setup

What kind of fish do you have? Are they applicable to my tank?

Sajica are awesome cichlids which look like mini midas and have a lot of personality.
Erythrinus Erythrinus wolf fish would be a cool wet pet for this size as well.
