Would a 5cm P bass (pretty sure its occellaris) be alright with a 7cm Giant Gourami, 12cm Uaru and a 15cm Senegal Bichir? I have heard that P Bass grow pretty fast, is there a chance that it would rapidly outgrow the Senegal and wind up swallowing it? How large would the P Bass have to be to swallow the Bichir?

5cm is what? 2.5 inches? and 15cm is 6.5"? i would say a 5-7 inch cichla may try to swallow him.. bichirs dont have much girth... i have never kept them together maybe someone else can vouch for me

5cm is 2'', 15cm is 6''. Also, I'm pretty sure its a monoculus, not an occellaris. What I meant was as the growth rate of a P Bass is faster than that of a Bichir, would the P Bass outgrow the Bichir and swallow it?

juvie cichla are super fast and very wary of it's surroundings...with plenty of cover/hiding places its possible...ur only prob would be the GG/birchir...however power feeding them up until 4-5" would be ideal...that way there still smaller than ur other fish but not other fish food! hehe

i have 2inch orino and a 4in tems inn with a 6in bicher... for about 3 months now... still no problem.... just to answer any questions about these tankmates.. the bicher is to slow to catch any pbass.. also they go by smell... for future references,, their good matches!;)

KEEP IN MIND... make sure theres alot of swimspace for pbass.....

for some reason i cnat get these few pictures to work

I have 10 Scissortail Rasbora in the tank ranging from 3cm-5cm (1''-2'') with no problems from the Bichir, it doesn't show any interest in them. I went to have a look at the P Bass this morning, they really are tiny but look awesome, I decided not to buy any though. The guy said I should probably grow them out in a separate tank and add them to my main tank when they're larger, although I think they probably would have been ok. Still want to get the P Bass though, they just look really fragile at their current size.

well its hard try to take pics of the bicher, my bro has.... but here is my baby orino and tem... & bicher, somewhat together.. ive been raising & waiting for these (pbass) to GROW, so they can be added with the rest....;)
