5ft-6ft what to put with my oscar

Ok so i decided to save and get a 5ft or a 6ft after i get a job so what should i stock with my Oscar he should be about 6-7inches when i get this tank i like birchirs but im not sure if they can go in together

polypterus sure are a good choice, just make sure they get fed well, as oscars are much more eager when it comes to being fed

Yeah well my Oscar is picky on what he eats, He has only just started eating other things than pellets again. It might also be hard for me to locate one of these in Aus >_> all my LFS have "normal fish".
