Starting out as a morning full of rain, around 2pm it turned insanley windy with tons of snow. This wind knocked over one of my neigbors giant 100ft tall pine trees onto some power lines. The tree being wicked heavy took the lines to the ground, pulling the telephone pole with it. But across the street is a smaller pole holding the big telephone pole inplace, so it didnt fall all the way, but both poles went on a slant. This caused the power to go out for about 5 hours. Wanting to save my fish, I went to use the battery airator, but this failied because the motor is dead in it, so I had to resort to using a picther and just scooping and dumping the water in and out. About 4 hrs in, my dad put the generator on, so I was able to hook up the airators, and now all the powers on, and everythings good.
Here are some pics, they may be not great quality cz they came from my phone

Glad you were able to keep all your fish alive... fortunately, you had a generator... A good investment for any hobbyist who truly LOVES their fishies! :)

Oh yeah, did you seriously scoop 'n dump water into your tank w/ a pitcher?... for 4 hours??... Whoa! now that's dedication right there! :grinyes:

Wow, looks like it was a pretty bad storm??... wait a minute, is that BIGFOOT I see walking away?!! :D jk!

wow is that a regular thing there or no? ^_^ wheee I had a 5 week poweroutage before O__o Hurricanes man... I had to blow air through a tube for my fish the first week hahahahaha. Genearators are def. nice though huh?? That still sux though, glad you got your power on soon though!

Lol, well, I didnt do it constatly for 4 hrs, I did it for like 5 mins in a row every 15 minutes, but I also have the 2 tanks, so it was 10 mins straight.

Thats not bigfoot either...its the wolf man, didnt you see the full moon :D

It is a regular occurance around here in the winter. I have lost many trees to the snow and wind. And generators are very very nice. Although it took me some time to find extesions cords and rewiring all the stuff, but it was worth it :)

that sucks man. luckily i havent had any bad power outages so its all good for me. :D

On a side note, its wicked cold right now.
