i need to give him hith meds and my only quarentine tank is 10 gallons with daily water changes do you think he will be fine?

I disagree, yes not doing water changes will keep the meds in but what good are the meds if his water quality is garbage? Do weekly water changes, add salt, and keep the temp up pretty high. Test your water every couple of days and if you see a spike in the nitrates, nitrites, or ammonia do a water change.

Feed him only 1 PELLET a day. This will keep his immune system working hard and you wont pollute the tank as much.

If you can use a filter pad or water from an already established tank, then the bacteria will do a fine job of taking care of ammonia.

Daily water changes arnt nessecary. Or wise. Make sure there is no active carbon in the tank. Halfway through the week check water perameters. It should be fine, but better safe than sorry.

Don't feed him anything at all...

A week without food is nothing. You won't even be able to tell a difference in the fish.

Agreed. 10 Gallons is fine. But if you are using Metro I would soak the pellets in it, and feed them to him if he will take them. In my opinion metro works much better when take internally. I've always had good results anyway. Water change every few days will be fine.

I think he'll be fine in the ten, just follow what people have said... I am curious about something... Why not get a rubbermaid tub to keep him in? You can get a cheap 20 or 30 gal.... add your filter/heater/meds and you're good. Maybe even an airstone for extra oxygen.

sounds likea great idea to soak the food but he stoped eating when i put him in the 10 gallon tank but as soon as he starts ill definetly try this

Try soaking the pellets in some garlic oil, most fish can't resist any food that been soaked in it.
And the advice for soaking the food in metro is spot on as fish don't drink the water they're in so it doesn't get into the system as well as it will if directly ingested..

Good luck pal :)
