Welcome to MFK!

To small for an aro. And when setting up a tank put what you want in it because your gonna be the one looking at it. Don't let others influence your decision ;)

I know but theres more types of fish i dont know out there just lookin for ideas.i kinda like the idea of one big fish.

Jaguar cichlid, wolf fish, black rhom piranha depending on your local laws, some type of Snakehead if your not in the us.Lots of choices for that size tank.

If you just want a single "wet pet" a few good options IMO would be hatian cichlid" black nasty" , jaguar cichlid, red devil, midas, festae, mayan, or buttikoferi.
There are alot of very interactive types of cichlids that make great wet pets.

Could try a hystrix ray? You could probably keep a male in there for life! But there a ridiculous number of options for this tank... 2x2 footprint and height would be cool for a jardini (IMO) but im not sure 5' length would be enough swimming room but not sure on that...

Really want a jardini but i dont wanna be cruel if its not enough run for it.umbee is cool looking fish n massive :) battling between jardini but with the risk of being cruel, jaguar or umbee so far.
