Here's some information about what we want to do with the pond. We currently have a 2 foot paroon shark and a 1 foot pig-nosed turtle. We want to add in 6 australian arowanas and hope to grow these out first in a 75 gallon aquarium for around 6 months. We're planning to get ones that are around 3-4 inches next month. After this period, we will add them into the pond with the shark and the turtle, given that they are of similar sizes. If not, we could keep them in the tanks for a bit longer. We learned that although the jardinis are aggressive, they become more docile in groups of 6 and above. The measurement of the pond we're thinking of is 9x4x4 feet, rounding out to a bit over 1,000 gallons. We also recently purchased a 2-inch giant snakehead but we're still deciding if we should keep it or give it away. We'd appreciate any and all advice you could offer. We've contacted a couple of aquarists and have accumulated that this combination of fish and pond size is sufficient. Can we have your thoughts?

Everything should be excellent, their a guy on here that doing 9 jardini in a smaller tank and it working out.

Sounds great and just wondering where you are located to have AULs available to you?

Very interested to see how this one turns out keep us posted with update pics please ;)

I don't think the paroon shark will work out. By the time the jardinis outgrow the 75 gallon the paroon will still easily be able to eat the arowanas.

Hi guys, I decided to go with the Red Tail Golden Arowanas instead. I got 5 of them (around 4-6 inches) and also a small Red Tail Catfish. Am planning to add 1 more species into the pond
