The Riparium has been dismantled and everything brought back to square 1 with the 6 Foot. So I thought I'd start a little build thread / aquascape diary to share (as I enjoy reading others)

6 Foot, 72"x16"x24"
2 eheim 2217 / classic 600's
1 eheim 200w heater
48" LED light bar

Not wanting lots of live plants this time. Going with easy maintenance and the 'clean' appearence as opposed to natural.

More to follow soon whilst I consider moss balls and some floating plants.

So.... some salvinia auriculata added. My hope is that is will flourish and cover almost all of the surface. I'll perhaps make a little plantless-window to keep a burst of light coming through the middle which will look nice.

18 moss balls will be in shortly too. The idea is still to have trouble free plants that simply help the water quality and require nil maintenance.

Very nice!
Thanks for sharing. It will look even nicer once it is more 'lived in'.
Cheers!

I couldn't agree more. I just need to let things grow and fill out. Really keen for the salvinia to cover the surface. It's already looking so much healthier with developing thick roots and sending off new shoots every day.

Think I'm having second thoughts on the elodea densa I've added. It doesn't look right to me and goes against the general 'hardscape' appearance. What do think?
