Hey just a heads up those aren’t azuls. There’s been a lot of fake azul baby’s being sold right now. I too got a few and grew them out to look exactly like yours. Azuls don’t have red in their tail

I don't know if that's right. Maybe someone else can chime in. As far as I know, these are azuls. Sorry about yours not being azuls.

Yea I’d have to agree cuz my younger 8in has a slight brown tiny on bottom tail but not red and my bigger adult 12in has all blue fins and tail fin xingu tail look like yours

I don't think they are fake Azuls, but Cichla melaniae "XINGU"

If it’s a Xingu then it is not an azul haha there’s no such thing as a fake bass just mislabeled bass which is what I meant by “fake” in terms of the sellers label.

I bought them when they were tiny and they were not labeled as anything, except peacock bass. However, I'm glad they turned out to be whatever they are now. Apparently Xingu are more rare than azul. Good for me I guess.
