6 inch pleco dietary needs

so i have a 6 inch common pleco and hes pretty much my favorite fish at the moment and my first

i want to make sure hes eating properly and enough. i give him an algae wafer im the morning and about 6 to 8 sinking wafers.

should i be feeding different food or maybe more. hes starting to really grow

also ive tried cucumbers and bloodworms hes not a fan of either

Algae wafer is all he needs, but that may be overfeeding

I did just read about screwcumbers, they are a weight designed to let vegetables sink so your bottom feeders can have some nice veggies

on the cucumbers it might take several tries to get them to eat it but eventually they will devour it. I just saw the screwcumbers too, I use these

they will also enjoy a carnivore pellets or cichlid gold sinking pellets. Commons need a varied diet more than algae wafers
