6" midevil at my LFS

I recently sold my stock out of my 125. The only fish that I have left are 2 4" firemouths, 5" Irwini cat, 6" raphael cat, and a 6" flagtail. I can move the firemouths to my 40 gallon breeder, but I don't want to move the flagtail. Could the flagtail share the tank if I purchased the midevil or will he just be a snack at some point? I never owned one but I know they are potential killers.

Does anybody have a midevil with successful tankmates in a 125 gal?

I have a flagtail with some Midas juveniles right now. Problem here is growth rate. The flagtail takes years to get big, the Midas takes months.

I have a midevil in a 125 with a jag and a synspila. The jag keeps the rd in check, neither of them is willing to go past the ocational lip locking because of the even match. Its like the cold war nobody will lauch because of the impending counter attack. So it is possible to house a midevil with tankmates, you just have to have a back up plan if things go south.

Only thing that seems to stay alive very long are plecos and tinfoil barbs. Also a true Midas seems to be less aggressive than a rd. midevils are hit or miss, usually wind up being nasty tho.

He's going to fillet anything he can catch. Cool fish none the less.

Some cichlids will not bother non cichlid fish all depends on the individual.
