After calling about 40 or so places I realised that nearly nobody in my area carries worms. (Fishing places only seem to carry Super Red worms, which I've been told I need to setup a composter for).

Anyways, for a 6" ray, how often should I be feeding it how many worms. And of the 3 mentioned (Nightcrawlers, Red Worms OR Trout Worms) what is the best for my ray? It is about an hr drive to get these, so I wouldn't mind stocking up for 2 weeks or so (as long as the worms aren't hard to care for).

Thanks

worms are easy to care for. Just put them in some kind of bowl with lid. Fill with good dirt, just a tad of water to keep dirt moist. and place them in the frig. thats it.
All those worms will work.
Amount depends on the ray. Rays will eat and eat if you let them. And also the size of the worm you are using depends on how many you want to put in for food.
remember, if you have any other fish in there with your ray, fish eat worms to.
turkey baster, squirt woms (if small enough to fit in a turkey baster. live black worms) squirt them under the sand. the ray will find them.

Save yourself some time and money. If you have a lawn or backyard, go out in the evening and water the grass until its soaking wet. Wait till night fall and go out again and the floor will be covered in earthworms. One night picking should be able to last you a week or two, maybe a month if you're lucky.

Or skip the soil and just use moistened shredded black-n-white newspaper, which is what I kept my worms in before weaning my rays off worms. Not color newspaper tho', the color ink ain't good.
