Sorry no pictures because I just ordered 6x f1 Mags and they are on the way. You r welcomed to post your umbees. Hope there are proud owners around.


so out of 6, What you think my chance would be to get a pair? good chance, maybe, or need more umbees?

what size will they start bonding?

What size will expert eyes can be able to tell difference between genders?

theres always a chance but I hope they are different strains. You can develope a pair I'd say 4-6"s. Test your luck with the 6 you got coming and if there be a need for more go for females as its a benefit to having a smaller female. Where are they from ? GL and post them pics when they arrive.

getting them from Dan cichlidsoftheamericas? I dont think the 6 will pair off. unless he put un related fry together. IMO they are related.

They can start to pair off 3-6"s. As far as when will males display they are males there is really no telling, each fish is different. Some can show @ 4"s others won't till their 8-12"s.

Dan I am pretty sure has a couple breeding pairs of umbee's and from I hear is generally pretty good about sending mixed batches but these days who knows. Thax, your specimen wether it turn out M or F is realllllly nice, congrats. If it turns out female I'd take it immediately for my breeding project .

There is no harm in breeding brother and sister I have actually seen some of the nicest dovii i have ever seen come from a brother and sister pair. And if you look at Mel O the guy with the monster pair. They are Father and Daughter and he has been breeding dovii for 30 years.

These are my little bad boys from Rapps!!! There are 20 Trimacs in with them as well.

I think breeding family to f2 is ok. siblingx sibling to f3 is ok too.. Then need new bloodline wih f3. Like f3 x any other f3, 4 , 5 ,6 ,7c blah

I just want a pair or a male Lopaka. the extras will go out eventually. But they so small so not soon.

Thats why I asked Rapps to give me 3 umbees from 2 different sets of parents and I also added a conkel F1 to the mix.
