I was observing some of the bullheads that I caught, checking their health and growth. I threw in some whole shrimp and they went to town, ripping it from each others mouths and chasing each other. They eat non-stop no matter how big their stomachs get. The goldfish that are in here are also now eating the shrimp as well as the bluegill/pumpkinseed/sunfish. They do all eat Hikari pellets too.
It's interesting seeing how they eat and how they act together in the water. When you see one go after food, they all come from out of no where and swarm the area scanning the bottom smelling for food. Some of them actually come to the top when the food hits the water and grab and shoot back down to the bottom. I guess this is how I caught them in one spot. They all seem to stay in the same spot until they realize all of the food is gone.
