Should I be worried if I get a 60gallon and put it upstairs? I know it isn't concrete flooring but the downstairs is.

Should be fine. Imagine two fat people standing side by side on your second floor. If your floor can support Sally Struthers and John Candy, then it should be fine. :hitting:

Yep, 60 gallons is about 450 lbs. That should be spread out across 4 sq feet. 4 sq ft = 584 sq inches, less than 1 lb pressure per inch.

That's such a misconception. How can you compare a continuous (keyword) weight bearing load like an aquarium with two fat people standing in the same place for no more than 1 minute?

Put the aquarium against a load bearing wall (usually an outside wall) and it should be fine.

True... but would you trust them to sit on your couch for how many hours?

"Sorry folks.. you fatties have been there on the couch for three hours.. best go downstairs now"

Cheers

Ian

That's some pretty fancy goesintas there Druu.

Against a load bearing wall it will be fine.

The question is, can you fit two fat people in a 60 gallon tank??? I know, I should go home now and enjoy the weekend...
