I'm considering restocking my 60 gallon planted tank.

currently it houses:
  • 2 Bala sharks(~4.5")
  • 2 clown loaches(~2")
  • 5 Red Blue Colombian Tetras(~2.5")
  • 2 Dwarf Gouramis(~3")
  • 6 Tiger Barbs(~2")

I want to relocate the gouramis and barbs to a 20 tall and add a 4" jack Dempsey to the 60. I have been doing some research and seen tanks with tetras and jd's, but I wanna see what other people think of this stocking, also ive heard that Jd's tend to dig up plants but ive also heard that they wont if the tank is heavily planted and if their not breeding. So whats your opinion on this set up, do you think it could work?

Stocking Idea:
  • 2 Bala sharks(~4.5")
  • 2 clown loaches(~2")
  • 5 Red Blue Colombian Tetras(~2.5")
  • 1 Jack Dempsey(~4")

The sharks and loaches will outgrow the tank. The JD and tetra should be OK. Then again the JD may eat the tetra when it's bigger.

I know that they will eventually outgrow the tank, but the loaches will probably take up to a few years, and the sharks growth has seemed to really slow down within the last month so I think they should be good for hopefully a year or so before I can relocate them to a bigger tank. Do you think these fish should get along for at least a year or so? I wouldn't be heart broken if I loose a tetra or two, im more concerned about the loaches and sharks.
