So, we've moved 2 rays in with no problems. They are happily gobbling down night crawlers, and the sump is running (by being pumped by a Fluval FX5).
Completed Installation Tasks:
The 900 gallon fluidized bed filter is completely set up and hard plumbed to the tank.
The sump has been affixed, and filled with media and heaters.
Work Required:
I need to go to a plumbing store to find a 3/4" threaded adapter for our new Magdrive18, as well as the PVC piping to run from the adapter up to the 1 1/2" input bulkhead on the sump.
I still need to build a lid. Polycarbonate panels seems promising, but so far I still have come up short on any real source for lid materials.
Lighting. Any ideas?
After I get this completed, I think this is going to be an incredible ray sanctuary. Is there anything here that you think could be improved?
