So i just picked up a 6ftx5ftx4ft acrylic tank. I am getting to setup with an epaulette and wanted to see what ray(s)//eel(s) you would recommend to accompany an epaulette?? (also plan to add some grouper)

Do not buy a bumble bee grouper. It will inevitably outgrow that tank by a long shot, and will eat your epaulette and eels. Two other guys here with shark tanks bought bumble bee groupers, only to have them eat their favored sharks - including a 7-gill and a whitetip (or a lemon, I can't recall).

There are plenty of other attractive groupers - miniatus is beautiful. As for eels, you'll have to be careful - tessies and greens are gorgeous, but can be savage.

try a blueline or a panther grouper they won't eat your eels of sharks or you can try a cherry skunk grouper

Yea definitely avoid the bumble bee mine started out about 3 inches and really cute then 6 months later he is about nine inches and ate my 2 ft zebra moray eel that I have had for two years.

A round ray would be ok in that tank like a Cortez, Bullseye, California, Yellow, or if you can find a Blue Spot that someone has thats eating would be good. I 2nd Jabba on the Green and Tess eels. There are lots to choose from out there.

I say a blue dot or a polleni grouper would be a good choice I have one of each and they do fine together. Unfamilier with any types of eels that are suitible with epaulette sharks but good luck with that.
