Went through my phone just now, and realized i had quite a few pictures of my 60G tank as it has evolved and changed over the years, so thought i would put them all into one thread, so that in future, if i change it again, i can keep adding them in here as a sort of personal progression thread...

Any thoughts or comments are always welcome...

Goes from strength to strength! Do you have any livestock or invertebrates in it? Or is it purely plants?

Thanks Convict, appreciate the comment :)

As for stock, i have - 10x Celestial Pearl Danios / 10x Clown Killi Fish / 6x Ottos / 6x Silver Flying Foxes / 1x Female Betta Channoides, lost my male recently...

Thought i’d keep this thread of mine updated especially since i realized i missed a few renditions lol...

I’ve recently also rescaped this tank again to house a bunch of C.Irrusbesco puffers, so will update once its more settled and the scape is completely finished, as i have some left over buce from my 50G i’m trying to see if it will grow in here...

And here is the latest update... much simpler and cleaner setup... although still have to see if the plants will work out properly or not...

Looking good! I always tend to keep simple growing plants and the problem occurs when I just let it grow to the point that the hardscape is no longer visible. And when I try to trim it back, it just doesn't look as good anymore.

Agreed, thats why this time i’ve gone for the ultimate slow grower “buce” as the main plants... only problem i’m worried about is possible algae since they are so super slow growing...

Yup...I tried an all Anubias tank. Algae became a problem even with just 4 hours of light. I even went as low as 2 hours. Unfortunately, that tank acquired some Anubias Rot from some new plants I picked up. I never thought about quarantining my plants back then. Lost my whole tank except for maybe 3 pieces that never grew back the same.

I think as long as you have some good algae eaters to help out like SAE, Otos, and BN, the tank will be fine.

That sucks!!! Im hoping i dont go through that, although something im definitely going to have to keep in mind...

I do however have a small cleaner crew consiting of a couple of ottos, so fingers crossed it all works out somehow... if not, might need some Co2 and basic ferts...

Here was my Anubias tank before I added the bad batch that eventually killed all of this.
