hi

iam thinking of getting a 60x30x24 inch tank in my bedroom if i get a job this year, so what would you stock in that tank. iam also thinking about getting a 6x2x2 ft tank but i think the 5x2.5x2 ft tank would be better becuase of the weight so what fish would you have thanks.

If you wanted peaceful I would do a dicus and angel and tetra planted biotope.

If you want exciting I would do a plethera of predatory characins.

Its up to you but what ever you do I would waste a tank like that on cichlids.

piranhas would be my first choice :)

but with dimensions like that (double check with ray guys) I would put a pair of rays and some dats.

i was going to say rays as well, but I think i heard somewhere that they are hard to get in the UK. If you can a couple rays would be nice.

motoros and retic are easy to get here, i have heard that tropical imports might be getting some real hystrix rays,

pretty much anything that gets under 2' is likely to work. so you'de exclude the bigger cats, and a few oddballs. There is alot you can do. I'de personally cruise all the specialty boards. pick a fish you "gotta have" in the tank and build your stock list around it.

personally my fire eels are my favorite fish, and will need a tank of similar dimensions when full grown.

Decide what you "want" and dance down the ladder. It also depends on how much you want to spend on the fish, what type of time you will have to care for them, funds if they need specialty foods, what fish personality do you desire, ect. Suggestions are great but ultimately do your homework before you "decide"

since I already have my eels, I'de do a planted tank of that size. with cardinal tetras, and pygmy cories, and anything else i might find interesting or micro size to have giant schools of.

Technicaly i think your 5 foot is going to hold more water than the 6 foot. So obviously it will weigh more. Since weight is an issue.

i have work it out and they are around the same ,so i might get the 6x2x2 now.
