Hi, I recently acquired a 65 gallon tank, and am looking for some stocking help with it. Its 36x18x24, and I was wondering what could go along with a senegal bichir and leopard ctenopoma. Substrate will be eco complete with a layer of sand on top, plan on planting with anubis varieties hooked to rock and driftwood and some kind of top floater, and maybe some java ferns.

I do, but I decided against the butterfly after I heard of a few that a bichir ate. What so you think so he odds of that are? I was also looking for something with some color, was thinking about a jack Dempsey or a blood parrot. I figured this would be the best place to go to find fish murder/be murdered by a bichir

The blood parrot would, work due to the small mouth,, wouldn't have to worry about it getting swallowed by either bush or sen:)

I really like how they look as well, I'm just concerned about the genetic defects I heard about. Only other person who commented on them at the other forum I asked said he wouldn't touch them because they were hybrids xD.

Don't have the funds to acquire a synodontos, and the only place I can get fish is a petsmart, unless you know a good online place for a African knife. Wanted one, didn't know where to go so dropped it

I think I will go blood parrot and African knife if I can find a knife. If not a knife then maybe a featherfin squeaker. Any other fish? Weird, colorful, all fish are welcome.

Someone can edit this on to avoid the double post since I don't have access to an edit button xD. I was clicking through the pages since my last post and was wondering how an electric blue acara would work with a blood parrot, bichir, and Leopard ctenopoma. I like the look of it, and they seem to be pretty chill. I really doubt I'll be able to get a knife fish, don't really feel like using eBay for fish xD.
