Hi again I've been pondering over this stock for a while now but somethings just proved more expensive than I thought.

So the tank is 65g with a Fluval FX5 filter its an upgrade from a 33g and I like cichlids (CA/SA) and plecs. At the moment my stock is

1 Wild caught Aequidens Diadema
2 Honduran Red Point
3 Annostomus Ternetzi
1 L235
1 L135

My plans were to add a trio of Geophagus Pindare and a school of Columbian Tetras or medium sized Rainbows. However the G.Pindare have popped up but are a bit out of budget for me especially with the planned trio. Now I planned the Pindare because I was happy with them in my tank but I dont think any other eartheaters would do well in this tank especially in a trio or group. Unless anyone can think of an other suitable species? Would love to hear them :)

But yeah basicaly I am asking for ideas for cichlids that are compatible with my current stock, that could work as a group or pair or even individuals. Im looking for them to max out around 5/6 inches and am open to anything. I was thinking dwarf pikes? But not sure how they would do? I prefer rare things but not so rare they carry big price tags if you see what I mean.

Thanks for reading and any replies are greatly appreciated :)

I thought about them but I cant give them the cool period, how essential is this? I cant find a straight answer some information is that you have to give them it for them to live others say they like it but mainly need it for breeding anyone got an insight?

thats what i have always been informed is the cool down is for breeding purposes they should get on just fine with out it

ah right cool thanks! In the long term I might be able to give them the cool period but certainly not this year I dont think. :)
