Just thought I’d share my summer hobby since it’s finally getting nice out. Currently working on and restoring my 66 f100. Done countless hours of work to it already from owning it for only 2 years. Top end rebuild including a new cam, lifters, 4 bbl intake and a Holley carb. Whole new front end to give me disc brakes. Added a booster to get power brakes and new lines throughout. New rims and tires. Lots of little stuff on the interior. This year I’ll be working on the interior more. I’ll slowly update as I go along and get pictures for those who are interested. Got some headers that will be going on with a full exhaust from headers straight out the back (no not straight piped lol). That should be happening soon. Will get pics of that. Will be rebuilding the doors. Also will be doing a much needed clutch job, when getting the engine up past 3k and the secondaries kick in, you can smell the sweet smell of burning clutch lol. Plus a new driveshaft. It’s definitely a project. But that’s what I wanted. I’ll include a pic of the truck the day I got it. Thanks. 52DB5BDD-D3AE-44B0-9563-4F3C07EE061D.jpeg

Wow I can’t believe I forgot lol. It’s the 352 fe with a three on the tree. 9 inch rear with the stock 3:25.

Right on. Sounds like you're keeping the 3 on the tree?? Plenty of gear heads here, keep us posted!

As of now and in the foreseeable future yes. I love driving it. I’ve driven plenty of manuals, especially for my age, but this one is so different and cool. Plus it’s rare to find people that know how to drive one. Especially at my age.

Lol, yeah really. 3 on the tree? Not many of those around. So do you plan to keep it mostly stock? Maybe a little lift? Or go the other way and put it in the weeds?

Not gonna drop it. Definitely won’t lift since it’s 2wd. I like how the front is sitting and the rear has a bit of a rake which I like. But I’ll probably lower rear to where there’s a one inch rake. I like that look. It’ll be mostly stock. Other than safety stuff and what not like brakes. My girlfriend rides in the truck with me and I didn’t feel comfortable with drums and a single master cylinder lol.

Lol, a very old school look, I like it!!! I actually like the 60s prerunner look though.

I don't blame you wanting to change them brakes. I have drums on my 73 Nova. They're scary sometimes.. :eek3:
