6x2x2 cichlid tank

my tank(once re set up) will contain 2 gold saum(green terrors) 2 festae(red terrors) 2 devils\midas 4 convicts(2 albino and 2 regular) with a goldspot pleco and some form of bottom feeder catfish

any other suggestions for my aggresive cichlid display tank?

I think you may have serious aggression problems if you get some pairs out of that stock... I don't think I'd keep a pair of festae with ANYTHING in a 180...

I agree,Festea are Evil and you can expect them to pick on anything in the tank (even the pleco's). I think they're some of the most colorful fish I've seen though. A pair by themselves would be nice but I dont think they make a very good comunity fish in anything less then a 300 gal. tank.

I think if you cut that down to singles instead of pairs you stand a better shot, my cichlid tank is 6x2x2.5 and I still have issues with a similar stocking. It could work but it will be trial and error...emphasis on error more than likely. Good luck sir.

will be a litttle while before i get it setup and ill have 200 red cherry shrimp in there and they will have about a month to breed before i move in all the cichlids

pics will deffiately be on there way
