6x2x2 flower horn, red devil, 2 oscars, 2 convicts

2 oscars would be enough if you don't plan on upgrading

My immediate thoughts are the oscars wont hang with the red devil and flowerhorn. I also would make sure you get male cons so they will be a little tougher to hang with the horn and devil. I think you would have room for all those fish, but the temperments of them all would be a little sketchy. Maybe look at replacing the oscars with salvini or something similar. Salvini are beautiful fish and I had some with my red devil for awhile and they did fine. They are a bit smaller but they are tough enough they could probably hang with the horn and devil. Are you starting them all together as juveniles? This would make a difference too. These are just my thoughts.

i had a FH given to me and i put it in with my oscar and it wasnt good, needless to say i had to get rid of the FH :( maybe if they were established together maybe? but not in my case.

sound ok to me, you will probably get some agression but if the fish are around the same size you should be ok. i have an oscar, firemouth, convict, rainbow and 2 black diamond cichlids in a 5ft by 2ft by 18 inches. i havent had an injury in over a year, just give them plenty of caves and cover to set out their own spot around the tank. cheers

If only there were a means of placing bets on this forum! I'd wager a week's pay it won't work. Flowerhorn? Red Devil? Two Oscars?

If I had your tank and I wanted a group of big cichlids with a minimum of worry, a Tank of Peace & Love, I'd consider one Oscar, one Chocolate cichlid, a Blue Acara, one Convict, one Severum, a school of Silver Dollars (Rapps has Bumblebee Oscars, Chocolates, and some very cool Eartheaters: http://www.tangledupincichlids.com/ ) Come to think of it, I wish I had your tank! I wouldn't bet the pot that this will work, but I wouldn't bet against it.

The risk you run with the original stocking plan is that all heck breaks loose in about 8 months, you have to rehome some fish, and the ones you keep might not be friendly to newcomers.

I second Judge's comment. I have all of those but an oscar, and I love them all very much. My chocolate cichlid is really cool - half the tank is lit, and half isn't, so I get to see him color change pretty regularly. My blue acara is very neat as well.
