Hi

im new to sumps and will be setting up a 6x2x2 sump on a 8x4 or 10x4

i was just wondering if anyone had and good sump design drawing for a sump this size

Have a search a round . Theres loads posted up ever where on MFK , but would you really need a 6x2Foot Sump for a 8x4Foot tank ?

You might do . But i would of thought a 4x2Foot Sump should work . But maybe depending on your stock a 6x2Foot Sump might work better .

i wanted some paper drawings if anyone has any

Your big arros outgrowing that tank you got them in?

Your arros and rays are very nice.

Sprry no help with the sumps I use the cannisters like you.........

Your sump is 6" shorter in heigth then my first Monster tank. That is a true monster sump you have there. Probably not needed but truely a monster.

Here is my paper design and plans for my build. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=269040

1 foot shorter then what you want and a foot wider then you want but this would be idea for you sir, you will have more room for pumps with it being wider hth :) i did a dual drip tray as you can see on my picture i designed and drawn the picture you see

Hi mate have a look at my thread as im doing a 4x 18 x 18 for a 8.5 x 32 x 28 high, my design will be changed slightly but its another one you can have a look at.

Cheers steve

my plan is it may not work and its just a idea

i was going to put 2 eheim 2252 internal filters in the pump section of the sump to give the water a final polish before it goes back to the main tank

I wouldnt think from what i have researched that with the size of your sump it wouldnt be needed, you can do it but i think it would be a waste of money to be honest.

Cheers steve
