7-8in Male or Female Dovii??

Here we have my Dovii approximately 7-8in in length. I am very curious as to which sex this fish is and also ive been told it may be a hybrid. I would greatly appreciate thoughts on this and would be very disappointed in my local fish store if they sold me a hybrid without telling me. Thank you for all your thoughts on this subject!

Any ideas of what other species it could be a mixed with?? Thats kind of disappointing I thought I was going to a fish store that knew their stuff...

I think your right... I thought I went to the right place and I paid decent money looking for a dovii so im kinda bummed...

Yeah that's a bummer when you don't get the fish you think you did. Still a nice looking fish though.

Ny dovii is officially female.. she just laid eggs by herself without a male present! Cant seem to find a male!!

The mottling on the gill plate, makes it look male to me.
Most female Parachromis (no matter the species) have a naked gill plate and throat.
Compare this motaguense.

Of course if it is a hybrid, all normal gender indicators could be screwed up.
