I just got 9 baby red bellies. 7 now the dominant female killed 2. but any advice for these little guys? They are being housed in a 10 gallon tank until they get a little bigger. they are all less than an inch....maby 3/4 of an inch at the moment eating live black worms and a rosie occasionally

Your frist mistake is not reading about piranha before you buy them.
second there is not way you can tell it's a male or female in that age...
third no piranha can live in 10g..not even 1 ...
Piranha are very unpredictable and aggressive in small age. 9 would be good in 180g or bigger for life..
but when you got small piranha like this you should start out with 75gallon with very much cover and hiding spot. feed between 3-4 time a day. once they grow bigger in a couple of month then you need a bigger tank.

You need a bigger tank immediately. I have 5 RBP's in a 60 gallon tank. They were about an inch when I got them 2 months ago and now they are 2.5-3.5 inches. they grow extremely fast. I am going to have to update to a 75 or 90 this summer.
and your filtration is going to cost a ton

Thank you all...Bunch of cynical dicks....of course I know I have to up grade....I DID READ ABOUT THEM I KNOW HOW FAST THEy GROW. i know that i have to over filter the system I'm using a whisper 60 in a 10 gallon tank. You know what I've learned about this who MONSTER DOUCHE bag community...people will be the first to call out their perceived flaws when your doing it for the love of the fish. What the hell did I say? Offered a little advice, he does obviuosly need a larger tank immediately. He didn"t say anything about how big of an upgrade he was going to do, maybe a 29(since he thought 10 gal was ok for 9). I would have said to start with a 75 and go from there. Duct Tape Don't make a broad statement like that and include me in it.
